More and more people are talking about mindfulness and it’s benefits to our health and well-being. We talk about it a lot and some of our resources are focused on using this strategy.
Mindfulness is about bringing awareness to ourselves and our surroundings in a non judgemental and curious way. So sometimes it might feel slightly uncomfortable as you become aware of any stress, pain or feelings of discomfort you might be experiencing or avoiding. In short, mindfulness doesn’t always feel magical or filled with happiness.
Sometimes bringing attention to something your subconscious has been holding or you have been avoiding can bring up some intense emotions, likewise if you have an existing mental health condition like psychosis, depression and anxiety be sure to check in with your health care provider about how mindfulness might work for you.
